The 'Reloaded' version of operatingsystems.net is almost finished. Our website continues to be popular over the years for its technical comparisions and the history of operating systems section.
OperatingSystems.net began in August of 2000, as a public-service web portal designed to create an unbiased comparison of operating systems available or under development. The site concept originated with Milo B Schiff, and the administration and infrastructure support was provided by Stephen Saunders of Integrated Technical Services The content was provided by Milo until he left ITS, and moving his oversight efforts to a different site, OSData.com & OperatingSystems.net was forwarded to the new site.
After much discussion, we felt operatingsystems.net needed to be re-focused to match the target audience. The goal is still very much alive at OperatingSystems.net, and now with the benefit of new resources through sponsorship & content partners, We hope the site will be more informative for our visitors & members.
