I continue to upgrade digital cameras as their evolution warrants it. Not only has the quality of digicams improved by lightyears, so has post-camera image processing, making the most recent additions to this website of considerably higher quality than those from the early years.
In today's world, something familiar that you knew and loved yesterday, can be something totally different tomorrow. Here at the OPP, many of the older images remain online (although cleaned up a bit) in order to provide a visual record of what is described in the preceding paragraph. We have eschewed 3D buttons and swoopy design elements in favor of the
"webpage as a printed page" metaphor. It is plain vanilla because after all, it is the photographs that are the star here.
