Title

PAWS - Protect Animals With Sterilization

Description

The Facts

An unsterilized dog and her puppies can generate over 4,000 offspring in seven years. While an unsterilized cat and her kittens can generate over 20 ,000 offspring in four years. Millions of animals are euthanized in this country each year. Simply breaking the chains of uncontrolled reproduction can stop this.

The Actions

P.A.W.S of Hillsborough County has been active in the community for 10 years, aiding in the rescue of abandoned and abused animals and placing them in new and loving homes. Every animal adopted out has been or will be spayed/neutered by P.A.W.S before they reach sexual maturity. Our mission is to educate the public to the plight of these unwanted animals and impress upon them the necessity for spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation.

The Need

P.A.W.S. is also trying to set up and run a No-Kill Community Animal Shelter. This Shelter would provide medical care and housing for homeless animals until appropriate homes can be found for them.
