If one has to work, it just doesn't get any better for me than book repair when I know I can make a positive difference, however small, to a person's life. Or the knowledge that when a parent can once again read a favorite childhood book, this time it's to their great-grandchild!
I received the dictionary several weeks ago and took it to my Mother. When she opened the package and lifted out the book, she didn't say a word for minutes. She just kept turning thru the pages and then back to where my Father's students had signed the dictionary as he was leaving to World War II. She read each of the names out loud and told me all about them and where they were today. Of the twenty-some students, there were only three or four that she had lost touch with. She eyes watered as she told me about the students and I sat there for a long time, listening to her stories.
I can not express my appreciation for how professionally you did this job and how it pleased my Mother. My thanks to you.
