We've created this page for those of you who are curious what our little town looks like. Pinedale is nestled on the western flank of the Wind River Mountains in western Wyoming.
Pinedale is a small, relaxed western town of approximately 1,500 people. We have one 'main street' through town called Pine Street, which is also Highway 191. The majority of the businesses are located along this street or within the first block of it. Pine Creek, which flows out of Fremont Lake four miles to the northeast, divides the town into east and west.
We have a town hall, medical clinic, county library, two weekly newspapers, a retirement center, a senior citizen's center, a recycling center, and two town parks. There is one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. Our airport is a general aviation airport located approximately four miles south of Pinedale.
