Despite heavy security, Plane Stupid activists managed to enter the conference, releasing helium balloons with rape alarms up to the ceiling during the key note speech by a senior British Airways executive. That evening, over 200 activists and local residents met on Tower Bridge, where the conference dinner was taking place, heckling executives as they entered.
