About Us
Incorporated in May 2000 by founding partners Duncan Monteith-Hodge and Rob Armstrong, Pole Position Internet Services Ltd. was originally formed as a specialized Search Engine Optimisation company.
As the client list grew and we started to take on more and more poorly constructed or struggling websites, it became apparent that we were outsourcing design and hosting services and that there seemed to be a need for a single, managed source of these services. We evolved into a project management role, providing consultancy at the pre-design stage to ensure that a website was constructed in the optimum way so as to eliminate the need for remedial work later on. This was done by forging strategic partnerships with graphic designers, web developers and hosting companies, thus providing the client with a single point of contact and establishing Pole Position as a "one stop internet shop".
It seemed a natural progression to bring all of these services under one roof and at the beginning of 2001 we took on our own webserver allowing us to control the levels of service and enabling us to provide a far more tailored package for our clients. Pole Position is also an authorised reseller for Verio UK and as such we can offer rock solid hosting solutions for even the most demanding of websites.
