Description
Reviews are rated on a scale of 0 to 4 pops (0 being the worst and 4 being the best). One reviewer is assigned to write a review but if other reviewers see the same film, they get to put in their 2 cents too. The Other Junkie's Opinions section (located at the bottom of each review) is where you'll find more opinions. Each reviewer who has seen the film rates the movie and the average number of pops given is the official Junkie rating. The number in parenthesis next to the number of pops will tell you how many reviews the rating is based on.
Why do you read movie reviews? If you're like us, it's because you want to know if a particular movie is going to be enjoyable. The problem is, when you read a movie review you only get one person's opinion-- how are you supposed to know if your movie likes/dislikes are the same as the reviewer? What if the reviewer hates all Independent films? What if the reviewer is a sappy romantic and gives great reviews for all romance movies? How can you tell if you can trust a reviewer's opinion when you don't even know anything about them? Our solution: Popkorn Junkie. Each movie can be commented on by up to 8 different reviewers and each reviewer has his or her own profile. Popkorn Junkie was affiliated with the Yahoo! Club, "The Concession Line", but has since moved on to the Yahoo! Group called Junkieville.
