Description

The easy answer is that I'm the crusty old guy who created this site and all of the images you are hopefully enjoying. The longer answer is that I've been using PhotoImpact since version 3.0 and have spent seemingly unending hours learning its secrets and unlocking its power. I've worked on alpha and beta testing teams for several versions of PhotoImpact, testing for bugs, suggesting improvements and working with Ulead to try to get PhotoImpact users the best graphics editing software possible. Many users know me from my postings on the PIBB bulletin board and maybe for some of the entertaining antics that took place there. Others may know me as perhaps the most infamous demon ever exiled, erased and IP banned from accessing the PIRC board. Love me or hate me......I am the one and only "Cedge" (grin).

Most of my graphics efforts are directed toward working with Photography. This covers a broad scope of styles and techniques ranging from enhancements, repairs, restorations and alterations all the way to a number of different styles of composite work. 3D imaging is another favorite venue, along with 3d animation and some often deceptively complex web site design. I enjoy injecting parody or humor and a sense of serendipity into many of the images I create, although I'm quite possibly the only one who sees it in some of them.

As the author of the PhotoImpact High Performance V-8 Power Graphics Techniques Ebook, I was able to share many of the more powerful tricks and advanced techniques I'd learned along the way. The Ebook is out of active publication, but I offer many huge thanks to those who purchased it, making it a pretty darned successful adventure. Being my first attempt at writing a book, it was highly rewarding, very educational on a number of levels and something I'm not too sure I'm cut out for. This book can still be purchased, but I removed it from online ordering in early 2005. To those who write books for a living, I offer my utmost respect for their hard work. It isn't an easy thing to do. I might give writing another try someday, but life is going to have to slow down a bit before that day arrives.
