- Red Sun Holdings began in 2000 as Inter.net, the first truly global ISP with presence in 15 countries. It was formed from a carve-out and spin off of a part of the 65 local Internet Service Providers PSINet bought as it built its international presence in 1997-2000. Inter.net formed its initial management team from many of the original founders who had sold their businesses to PSINet. From these origins, it has had a core focus on the Internet and a management style that emphasized decentralized decision-making, entrepreneurialism, trust, and sharing.
