About the Innkeepers
Wes Westlund was in the Air Force until he was grounded with a heart murmur and loves all things aerial. He also loves the water, which was the main reason for purchasing this particular piece of property, and now that he is retired goes fishing on the Columbia River or in nearby lakes.
Beverley Westlund was a stay-at-home mom for many years and then worked in various office positions. She currently balances medical transcription at a local hospital with being an innkeeper. Her hobbies include reading and cross stitching, many samples of which adorn the walls in the B&B.
Together they purchased the River's Edge property in 1968 as a quick getaway for their young family from their home in SE Portland. Wes designed and built their "dream home," and the location, location, location encouraged them to open a B&B.
