Don McAulay Jr. & Sr. started building rustic furniture in 1992 after noticing the growing trend in the décor of homes and businesses around the country. They decided to make the transition from traditional woodworking to using a combination of raw, milled, and natural materials to create unique furnishings.
They have gathered inspiration from living in the hills of western Massachusetts, and combing the nearby green mountains of Vermont. This quality comes through in each finished product, as they are artists inspired by nature.
Rustic Designs has completed projects for such organizations as The Nature Conservancy, Massachusetts Fish & Wildlife Services, The Weber Group, Eastern Mountain Sports, Indiana State Parks, Church Landing, The Inns At Mill Falls, Slifer Designs, North Quabbin Woods, The Learning Channel (while you were out), and Bugaboo Creek Restaurants.
