Description
Sarah's Lodge is in the Ozark Mountains, 8 miles outside of the city limits of Cassville, Missouri. It is owned by Leonard and Sarah Morgan. Both are retired and their children and grandchildren help with lodge duties. It has been featured in both newspapers in the area. Located in the S.W. corner of Missouri they are very near Roaring River State Park in the Mark Twain National Forest. Surrounded by thick forest, visitors find tranquility and can get back to nature. They provide tent campsites and are in the process of building real log cabins. The lodge is over 2,000 square feet and made from native stone. Inside it is tastefully decorated with a large fireplace (11' hearth). They have darts, video games, a 6' pull down high projection system for showing the latest movies and cable TV programs, pool, and air hockey. They feature a spa and swimming pool, a play area for tots, and a central park with campfire. If you get hungry they have a kitchen to prepare a variety of foods.
There is a lot or nothing to do in the peace and quiet of the Ozark Forest. Roaring River is a favorite for Trout Fisherman, with an average size of 2 pounds each. It attracts visitors from a thousand miles away. Nearby is Table Rock Lake, a International Bass Tournament lake. Sixty miles away visitors can take in shows at Branson, Missouri, the home of many past vocal artists including Andy Williams. Dolly Parton has her Stamped Review where you can enjoy a nice dinner and live show. Sixty miles in another direction you will find Eureka Springs. A quaint town started by the hot springs, right out of the 1800's. The renown Hot Springs Hotel was featured on popular TV show Ghost Hunters who, after investigation, said the hotel was definitely haunted.
