The ministry began as an Internet ministry in May 1996, at which time the name "The Saviour Is Waiting" was chosen. Prior to that, the Lord had opened doors for Scott in radio ministry and in telephone prayer line counseling at a local Christian television station.
The ministry currently airs a half-hour program called The Radiocast on two stations (with hopes of adding more stations and even going international with the program in the near future). SIW Ministries has an outreach to nursing homes, and from time to time, the ministry holds festivals, concerts, and revival services in the Spartanburg area.
However, the latest aspect of the ministry is that the ministry has started a church called Truth Chapel World Evangelism Fellowship Church. Services began in September 2004.
