Seniors.gov.au is the Australian Government's premier online source of information for Australians over 50. It is a whole of Government initiative that is developed and maintained by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing in consultation with a consortium of other agencies. Seniors.gov.au provides the community with access to Australian Government information and services relevant to older Australians. The site also provides access to selected state government, local government and non-government information and services relevant to the interests of Australians over 50, such as health, travel and finances.
This wealth of information is enhanced by the creation of an online Community for Australians over 50, which invites you to interact with the Australian Government and with other Australians. The seniors.gov.au Community enables you to: participate in the story telling of Australian history, ask experienced people a question on various topics, look for events around the country and discuss recreational and social activities with other Australians. These facilities enable you to help build the dynamic online community of seniors.gov.au.
