Description
The waste of water in men’s urinals has become such a major environmental and financial issue that it is now a legal requirement to fit a device which ensures urinals only flush after use.
Over 80% of urinals in Britain have no form of control failing to comply with Water Bylaws. They flush day and night whether in use or not, wasting hundreds of pounds worth of water every year.
SmartFlush, battery or mains powered, utilises passive infra-red (PIR) technology to control a solenoid latching valve. Whenever someone uses the urinal, the PIR triggers a single flush, either instantly, or after a 10 or 20 minute delay. Thereafter, SmartFlush closes the valve and waits for the next user. If unused for 12 or 24 hours the cistern is flushed once to maintain hygiene standards.
