Description
Rupert Mackenzie-Hill is the founder of Smart Wedding Lists. In late 2002, as his own marriage approached, he looked for a UK on-line wedding list company, whose wedding lists were easy and free to set-up, and which provided a flexible approach to wedding gift definitions. There was no such service available, so in late 2002, he set about creating this service.
Rupert's career includes a commissioned military service, an MBA (dissertation in multimedia) and Product Director roles with a variety of technology orientated companies including Open TV, Flextech Interactive TV and News Networks, the interactive arm of News International. Smart Wedding Lists is his 4th substantial web based business service (having previously launched Hotvouchers, ePacts and SystemX). Personal Note
Hugh Bell, General Manager, is also founder of Nebula, an innovative jewellery company, who predominantly sell 'cosmic' theme jeweller through the QVC shopping channel. Before that, Hugh owned and ran his own highly successful 50 people software company, No Limits Internet Ltd., which launched a number of ground breaking products, not least People's Pole, the original web enabled voting system.
