SoccerLoop.com kicked-off in February of 2002 and has continued to grow its fan base over 2 short years. My name is Steven Patton and along with a few soccer mad fans and one internet wizard, Ionel Roiban, we created a website purely devoted to giving you, the U.S. Soccer fan, an informative read on the current "inside" news in U.S. Soccer at all levels.
My passion for the game started at an early age growing up and playing soccer in New Jersey. I played at some of the highest levels in the state before finally playing for Montclair State University where I was a four year defensive starter.
Upon graduation from MSU I moved to Florida to work for the Miami Fusion F.C. During my time there I worked in Community Relations and Ticket Sales. I have developed many contacts and relationships throughout the country at all levels of the game. From this experince it has allowed me to understand the inner workings of MLS, A-League, and other pro levels and has also allowed me to gain some very useful sources for "inside" information and the proper contacts for interviews with key soccer personalities.
