Description
Ever since the company was founded in 1964, Spectronic has been engaged in Research, development and manufacturing of radio communications and mobile telephoning. With high technology products and pioneering technical innovations the company has over the years merced up a long series of success.
The world´s first selective unit for portable radios, which is one of the cornerstones for the ability to develop mobile telephones, was designed by Spectronic. The development of the Spectronic mobile telephone begun in 1985. After it was launched four years later, the telephone quickly assumed a position of technical leadership. Its successor, the Spectronic Data Telephone, with an integral digital data terminal, is the first mobile telephone which enables communication in speech, text and data.
In Helsingborg there are also fully automated robot assembly lines for production of mobile telephones. In this way it is possible to produce higher quality at the same time as production costs are kept down. All manufacturing therefore takes place within Sweden.
