What the hell is this place? It's a sports blog with a sports forum. What the hell does it look like? Simply put, this is a place for sports fans to discuss what sports fans like to discuss. Sports! That's not to say sports fans only talk about sports however. We have had quite a few political debates, favorite food discussions, and an assortment of completely off the wall topics.
The sports forum is not like any other you will come across. There is very little moderation. I want discussions to take on more of a conversational tone. If a topic like "Barry Bonds is an asshole" is being discussed and during the course of it, it happens to spark something else, the discussion can go that way without some moderator stepping in acting like he's king of sports forums. I just ask that they don't get too far off track as others not familiar with this kind of unmoderated sports forum may find it hard to follow certain threads at times if they are not familiar with some of the more active posters. That said, after you have been around a short time, you will soon get the feel for the folks around here.
As far as the sports blog goes, I (Swanny) write to the main blog. Yes, I have absolutely no writing skills, but I don't give a shit. It's fun to ramble, and if you don't like it, don't read it. I also offer blog space as the "Our Sports Bloggers" category indicates. This is free of charge, just like the forums. All I ask is that you are an active participant in the forums. While you should maintain a sports theme in your blog, you don't always have to post about sports.
