Description
STAN'S RACE GEAR was founded in 2001 by Stan Ashmus and is based in central New York. Since I was a child motorsports has been a passion for me. My Dad raced on the dirt tracks of New York in the early 50's then turned the wrenches for other drivers. When I was eight years old my family and I entered the world of karting. We were very successful racing on the local tracks of New York State.
Once racing was in my blood it was there to stay and I'm at a race track practically every weekend. There are very few racing organizations that I don't follow and I also follow the safety aspects of motorsports religiously.
The technology in motorsports safety equipment has certainly evolved into a state-of-the-art industry since I raced in the mid 60's to early 70's. Being on the technical end of various types of manufacturing in some aspect or another for well over 20 years a career change was in order. I decided to follow my passion - racing, hence STAN'S RACE GEAR was born.
