Constable Michael Horton plans to seek the Democratic Nomination for Sheriff of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania in 2011.
Mike is a 1985 graduate of West Point. Prior to becoming Constable, he was vice-president at two Fortune 500 companies and President, Executive Benefit Services (Pasadena, CA). He was also a founding board member of Cabrini Mission Foundation (New York, NY) and former board member of Cabrini College (Radnor, PA).
Mike is a war veteran and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. As an Infantry Officer, he was the senior administrative officer for a 5,000-person unit at the National Training Center (California). As an Aviation Officer, he commanded a 120-person unit in Central America that assisted in the repatriation of Nicaraguan Contras as well as US drug enforcement and humanitarian initiatives.
