Welcome to our web site and thank you for showing interest in the comic book, " The Dragon Fists of Smorty Smythe", which is a spoof on martial arts comics and movies, while holding it own unique integrity.
Smorty and I began as kids together when I was growing up with Popeye, and Jonny Quest on TV. I wanted to do comic books as far back as age 7. I didn't know whether to do slapstick like Popeye or Action-Adventure like Jonny Quest. In the end I settled for a middle ground and the seeds of Smorty Smythe were sown.
Later on, other influences colored the fleshing out of my characters, such as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies, and for those of you who are familiar with European comics, the Asterix the Gaul and The Adventures of TinTin books.
