Title
The Inferno: Unofficial FC Dallas SG
Description
The Inferno was the original Independant Supporters group of the Dallas Burn. Formed in 1996 before the Dallas Burn even kicked a ball the Inferno continues to be the largest, most active & visible Independant Supporters group.
Originally, The Inferno sat near the corner flag across from the Burn bench at the Cotton Bowl in order to be closest to the field and to the opposing goalkeepers. In 1998, the Inferno moved to a more central location, directly across from the Burn bench, and remained there until the team moved to Southlake Carroll's Dragon Stadium in 2003. For one last year the Inferno are back in the Cotton Bowl before moving in 2005 to the new stadium in Frisco.
The Inferno has taken numerous road trips, including Kansas City and the US Open Cup Final in Indianapolis in 1997, New Orleans for the US Open Cup Semifinals and Chicago in 1998, Crew Stadium and MLS Cup in 1999, Colorado in 2001 and 2002. Also, for the first time the Inferno participated in the 2003 St. Patrick's Day Parade down Greenville Avenue in Dallas. It was such a success that we did it again in 2004.
