The Bay Dog was created in 2001 and opened its first store in April 2002, in the historic little town of North East, Maryland, at the head of the Chesapeake Bay. Originally, The Bay Dog’s product assortment was limited to apparel, gifts and collectibles featuring the Labrador Retriever. Upon opening our second store in May of 2003 in Harborplace, the retail cornerstone of Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor, we expanded our merchandise line to include the full spectrum of pure breed dogs, and even a cat section.
Today, our website, reflects that brick and mortar assortment , and offers one of the largest selections of apparel, gifts and collectibles featuring pure breed dogs to be found anywhere. Our new “Dogs-on-Demand” program features over 100 breeds of embroidered dogs on an extensive line of apparel from tees to Columbia jackets.
