TheCentralWord started out in September of 2001 as a way of providing CMU students an opportunity to interact with one another via the internet. We consider ourselves the pioneers of the CMU online community innovation. We are the only large scale, student-run message board that is continually up and running. We are also a message board managed with integrity and professionalism. Our community is a clean & friendly atmosphere and this is shown through our members, or better known to you as your fellow CMU students. Our site provides many different areas of discussion relating to various topics of concern. We allow you to post a question or comment in a specific category and in return get responses back.There are many areas of discussion relating to some topics such as groups and clubs, local events, housing and roommate searches, selling and buying, classroom discussion, professor ratings, and much more. We attract all types of visitors, but our geared focus is that of the students. We do however attract professors as well as we as outside visitors.We encourage all to take a look around and see what you like. There is something for everyone here at TCW, and we can ensure that.
