The Email Activist is a volunteer effort and is entirely self-funded. This website is an outgrowth of our sense of civic duty and is part of our effort to be active and worthy participants in democratic society. Our primary writer is a teacher of history, politics, economics, geography, sociology, and psychology (though usually not at the same time). He is not named here because he prefers to keep his professional life separate from his political activism. He feels it is important for teachers to remain politically impartial in the classroom, and his ability to do that would be seriously compromised if his students were able to read his political opinions online.
It is certainly true that we have almost nothing good to say about Mr. Bush . However, we don't have many good things to say about the Democrats, either. We believe that both major parties have been thoroughly corrupted by campaign cash. For what it's worth, we also disrespect Mr. Bush's Radical Right administration because it claims to be conservative while trouncing on key conservative values, such as limited government, transparency and accountability in government, sensible investment, and stewardship for future generations. On top of that, we've noticed a huge disconnect between the Bush administration's policies and the problems that those policies were supposedly designed to resolve.
That said, The Email Activist is not affiliated with any political party. We find that we agree more often with the Democrats than the Republicans and with the Green Party more than the Democrats, but we're not connected with any of them. So if you have a beef with something we've said , please blame us and not them.
