Trans is a small niche business, established in December 1997. As regional demand grew, Trans re-established itself in Alice Springs in November 2000.
Trans is a private business and receives no funding from any source and all income is self-generated from our client communities and organisations.
Essentially a one-person business (which is why it takes so long to get things done around here, like updating the website, composing TransMails and doing last night's dishes), Trans is highly dependant on input from a variety of contributors (see right sidebar) either currently working within remote Aboriginal organisations, or who have significant and extensive experience working within remote communities. The contributors (part of what we originally referred to as the "Trans Network" in the early days) have expertise in targeted professional areas, such as health, education, administration, environment and community arts.
