The Texas Swimming Association is a "one of a kind" organization. It has successfully gained the mutual cooperation of five separate Local Swimming Committees in Texas in a sincere effort to upgrade competitive swimming in Texas.The idea of an association was first voiced by Richard Quick at an informal gathering of a few coaches and other interested officials. He followed up on the idea by scheduling a meeting of all people interested in competitive swimming in Dallas in May, 1970. T.S.A.
