Texas Star Books - Uncommon Books, Common Prices.

Description

A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". We at Texas Star Books try to keep copies from Greene's list on hand. Some are easier to find than others, so we may not have them all. To view his picks, click on the book title. Look for the book, itself in our inventory, too!

Introduction

We’re Gary and Sue Fox, and we live in Fort Worth, Texas. Texas Star Books has been our dream for many years as we collected volumes and turned our house into a library. As each fledgling vacated the nest we greedily measured for how many bookcases would fit into his room. Gary’s special interests are Texas and Texana and Military History, especially World War II. Sue has researched Medal of Honor recipients from Texas for many years, and shares Gary’s enthusiasm for those specialties. We have not, however, limited our collection to those categories, as we’ve found many interesting, unusual and quality books in our travels. Being curious is a virtue when bookhunting!

Why We're Here

The search is so much fun that we decided to broaden our horizons and search out books that we think others would enjoy. We try to treat our customers as well as we treat our books!
