The history of Warehousematch B.V. started four years before it’s founding. In 1997, Jan de Bruijn and Rien van Ast started Storematch B.V., a company aimed at facilitating the search process for temporary (logistic) warehouse space.
Gradually, the notion of Internet being an interesting new development for the supply and demand side of logistics and warehousing started to grow. Not only the search process for warehousing, but also the building of warehouses and optimizing of warehouse space could and had to be facilitated (at one place) on the Internet. Warehousematch B.V., an open and independent and free accessible Internet platform for both logistics and warehousing was a fact.
