"Wissensexploration" is the German equivalent for "Knowledge Exploration" and refers to the Process of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (and the Web).
The Focus of this website is predominantly on large, unstructured and text heavy Databases which do not allow Data Mining Techniques to work (directly) on the Data and therefore Text Mining Approaches come in need. The World Wide Web is definitely the largest, (semi- and) unstructured "world-wide Database". In order to discover non-trivial, interesting and timely Patterns and Knowledge, "intelligent" Software is required. For these Web (Content) Mining Purposes focused Web Crawlers are investigated and evaluated.
Different Text Mining Approaches are investigated and 12 mayor players in the Text Mining Software market reveal their strengths and weaknesses. Although the Evaluation is formal, several Practice advices and a huge list of tools surely have their benefit if you are planning to use one of these Solutions.
