HISTORY OF WRITERSMUSTER

Despite only been running since May 2006, Writersmuster has been a name on the internet for writers since the start of 2002. Writersmuster started as a Yahoo Group by the owner Christopher Ticehurst (who still owns Writersmuster to this day). The idea was to promote writers worldwide and help promote himself as a writer. The Yahoo Group version made many members nearing the 450 membership mark despite poor efforts of promotions and postings at period of it's lifespan.

The Yahoo Group version was always a tough gig to run and was sadly cut in September 2004. One important was Tracker who was possibly the other creator and part of the Writersmuster soul in 2002. He helped Ticehurst and Writersmuster build the relationship and was a web designer for him for a while. But his role as a adviser and friend was most important. For Writersmuster, Christopher Ticehurst had a emotional connection to the old Yahoo Group because of the lifetime friendships and the writing experience he gained during it. He said it was the most hard decision he made as a writer to close the group down and many writers were sadden to see a friend in Writersmuster go. Poets such as Sushant Rahal, Songo and Kylie Taylor helped Ticehurst's writing career and also inspired him to be become a poet which made "The Ghost Writer" (2005) and upcoming poem book "The Beatuy and the Darkness" (2007). Other figures such as Tracker, Peter and John d'Archambaud, Ann Gilman, Steven Alan, and Jolene Lanka became part of Writersmuster folklore.

In early 2006, Writersmuster was planning a comeback without knowing so. The writer wanted to create a forum. So it was created on May 1st 2006. First it was a entertainment and arts forum, then a gaming forum and finally it returned to the roots of a pur writing forum. It was renamed Writersmuster from CJT Visionary/Productions (2002 - 2006) and it has come a full circle.

A new army of members such as Meryum, Miccas, Spanner, Allan and Feimi has joined Writersmuster as it gains and creates more chapters in it's life. These members will hope to be put in the folklore history as the old members of the Yahoo Group. Some question that the forum board version lacks the magic charm of the Yahoo Group version, there was a real love about it and that Chris Ticehurst wasn't hell bent on getting members and posts, he was happy with everything in life and the members were a extended family and not wandering sheep.

However the Yahoo Group didn't have nearly a quarter of the features that the forum board version had and suffered badily from promoting where most of the members didn't know how to help out. Some members moved on, and to Writersmuster's and Chris Ticehurst's leadership credit, all of the members who created forums turned out to be successful owners, based on Ticehurst's mentorships.

Writersmuster's future looks bright with the new domain name and the interest level is rising by the years. There will always be writers willing to carry on the legendary name Writersmuster to another exciting and thrilling chapter.

Reviews and Awards

Writersmuster has won many praise and reviews from the members and fans of the name. Many writers and poets have gone on to bigger things but always remembering Writersmuster.

The Admin Zone has twice reviewed Writersmuster. The first when it started out and was struggled to work as a forum in all areas and the second in September 2006, as it turns six months old and have address the issue of posts and a rising membership is happening.[1] The review shows some good pointers about Wriutersmuster. However it doesn't go into detail about the success of members and posting goals.

Writersmuster has recieved it's first award as a featured site on [2]The success of this proves that the leadership of Chris Ticehurst and his member's policies for the future of the forum is working.

Biography of Site Owner: Christopher Ticehurst

LegoLand Era: 1995-1998

The writing career started at the age of ten when a young Chris Ticehurst was limited to playing toys and choices. Ticehurst started to write down scraps of paper and worked on different short stories via his LegoLand figures. Creating characters King Lion, Wizard, Percy Cyber and the legendary Legomen group, they grew over ten years until the writer stopped the adventures in 2005. However the bulk of their tales were between 1995 to 1999. It has been said that the Legomen was used a family replacement for Ticehurst. This would still be his most proud and happiest period in his writing career simply because of the stress in adulthood.

Not much of the writings have been found for LegoLand [3]but in time the writer stated in 2003 that the series will be released bit by bit over his life. Hoping to complete the story one day.

Innocents Taken: 1998-2000

In mid 1998, Ticehurst was taken in foster care which caused much distress and problems for himself, hismmother and his writing. The declining mental health of his mother contiuned for three years following a series of foster care events and personal damage building on the young writer.

In August 2000, Chris Ticehurst's mother's health went into freefall and took a overdose of antidepressions causing her death. The peaceful world of LegoLand was crushed and moving from Nambour, Queensland to live with his father was the main reason his writing was stopped. The writer lived under his father for only a couple years afterware as he contiuned to dislike his father's lifestyle and personaility. On the writing front he had created the prolodge to the Seasons Trilogy and The Silver Knight.

Only as recent as September 2006 Ticehurst came to the conclusion that he was "damaged in the heart" and that parts of him will never be healed, leaving a bitter shadow of himself.

The Legend of Evermore/Writersmuster Era: 2001-2002

In late 2001, Ticehurst had created The Legend of Evermore, the short novel was seen to be the first real serious step by Ticehurst to becoming a long term writer. The storyline had crosslines through The Lord of the Rings, time travel and his own past knowledge in the LegoLand tales. Ticehurst releaed the short novel and saw The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring five months after.

In early 2002, thw promotion of his writings was needed and Ticehurst found a way to do such a task. Through Yahoo Groups, Writersmuster was born. The name simply made by himself and his uncle. Writersmuster would go on to last until the end of 2004 where the brand name would fold and resurrect in May 2006 as a mainstream forum board. Ticehurst meet and worked with the likes of Sushant Rahal, Kylie Taylor and Songo. These poets inspired Ticehurst to start writing poetry in late 2003, only to master craft better in 2005.

Canberra Living and The Seasons Trilogy: 2003-2004

In 2003, the biggest move yet for Ticehurst happened when he moved from Caboolture to Canberra. Living in Canberra was a large boost for his writing mind and proved it when he started to meet other writers and creating better structured stories. The Seasons Trilogy was a idea created back in 1999 when Ticehurst explored the ideas of dragons and weather creators for an English assignment. The major project was worked under the CJT Productions banner until the offical release date.

In October 2004 after nine years as a writer, Ticehurst finally had a published novel and completed a major goal in life. Seasons of the Moon had lukewarm reviews, some critics saying that the book was rushed towards the end and that editing was poor in areas. The book was never promoted because of the errors. But the acheveiment of writing a novel for such a young age was positive from most other writers.

The Chisoutsa Series: 2005

2005 was seen as a quiet and confusing year where the writer returned back to Queensland after High School to look for work. Moving from Nambour to the dangerous Brisbane then back to Canberra, his decision making and thought pattern was poor. Despite his decline in his personal life, his writing had somehow picked up. Producing two masterpieces in "The Ghost Writer"[4] and "Chisoutsa"[5].

April 2005 presented Ticehurst a great chance to flex his poetry muscle and create a short story musicial. It was well recieved on the internet and the story is still read after a year and requested as a favourite by other writers. This proved that his poetry has grown into a more mature form. Three months later, Ticehurst started work on a mature version of LegoLand, now the series ended in 2005 he wanted to start a adult series that discussed government, DNA, sexual and moral themes. Chisoutsa was the result and the darkest and edgest character such Gladus of "The Seasons Trilogy" arrived. Chisoutsa was another Ticehurst's first controversional piece of writing as it questioned morals and DNA crimes. Also Chisoutsa's very strong sexual desires and bloody actions.

Depression and Downfall: 2006-Present

After the events of 2005, Ticehurst contiuned to slide down the ladder when his aunt found out, fought and died of his cancer battle all in the small period of four months. Ticehurst's health was wreaked with depression and started seeing medicial aids to help his problems. Fearing to repeat history Ticehurst has been against taking any form of drugs and wants to beat the depression or not the drugs beat it.

The mature level of his poetry had arrived to a breaking point of self-expression and skill. The poetry for 2006 was very personal and showcased poems that rivaled last year's "The Ghost Writer" poems. The Chisoutsa series moved into the second season but yet has been released to the public. Ticehurst came to the conclusion that he was "damaged in the heart" and that parts of him will never be healed.

In August 2006, the writer decided to become a Youth Worker and will study from early 2007 to the middle of 2009. He plans to return to Brisbane or do a short time in Sydney to gain writing experience. He has also released some old instrumental music he made back in 2003. One track called Oceans was hailed as the best song of the album.

Songo Lyrics, Independent Music Talk, and Club Fishkill supported Writersmuster and in turn helped those Yahoo Groups become more successful and richer.
