Title
Berks Books: Reading what's written in Reading. Reading, PA that is.
Description
Berks Books' mission is to supply author interviews, reviews, and other content about books written anywhere but with emphasis on those written by authors living in and around Reading, Pennsylvania.
Reading (pronounced red-as in the color-ing), known by most people from the Reading Railroad square on the Monopoly game board, is a medium sized city about 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Reading is the seat of Berks County, and the birthplace of novelist John Updike who uses the city and surrounding area as the setting for many of his books. Frontiersman Daniel Boone was born in Berks County, and John Phillips Sousa, shortly after conducting the Stars and Stripes Forever for the last time, died in Reading.
