- Zip Industrial Products Corporation was founded in 1967 as an affiliate company of Pivot Punch Corporation. Robert H. King Sr., the founder, developed Zip to market products produced by Pivot Punch in the Western New York area. Zip Industrial expanded its base of products from punches and dies manufactured by Pivot Punch to include all materials needed to supply the Tool and Die Industry. Zip Industrial of Ohio was added to the Corporation in 1971 to bring these services to Northern Ohio.
