- With the support of his family and friends, 17 year old, South Africa-Native, Griffe Youngleson , (pictured left) founded Zurv Computers in 2003. A small room in the back of an art building in downtown Rutherfordton is where it all began. Griffe thought of the idea to start his own business after taking classes at a technical college in South Africa at the age of 13. Being the first minor to take these college courses, he ran into some difficulty in the testing process. Before Griffe was allowed to take the classes, he was required to take a general knowledge test to show his learning ability. After passing the courses in multimedia and web design with flying colors, he decided that he wanted to earn a living working with his favorite pastime, computers. Griffe also took Microsoft Certified courses in America in 2003.
