Established in 2005, the Cayman Biomedical Research Institute (CaBRI) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. It is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the research campus of Cayman Chemical, a global biomedical research company. CaBRI recognizes that all important and worthwhile science is not big science. In particular, many rare genetic defects and rare cancers remain without treatment, largely because they cannot compete for research funding with better publicized and more common conditions.
