The new era of Chinese in Oman started more than 20 years ago in 1986 when a doctor from a Shanghai hospital set up his clinic in Muscat . Now Chinese in Muscat is a diverse and dynamic community although small. Chinese in Oman are now contributing in many aspects of Oman’s economic and social development as well as culture richness while absorbing Omani and international culture and trying to maintaining their own.
