Started by a graduate student from the University of Chicago in 1981, Oriental Merchandise Club, (predecessor to Lotus Furniture Imports), began importing high quality, traditionally handcrafted Oriental furniture, art and decor into Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Oriental Merchandise Club focused intently on maintaining a wide selection of exotic Asian furnishings at affordable prices.
