SCP copies files between hosts on a network. It uses SSH for data transfer, and uses the same authentication and provides the same security as ssh. Unlike RCP, SCP need a passwords or passphrases if they are needed for authentication. Copies between two remote hosts are permitted. SSH is a protocol that uses public key cryptography to transfer data securely over insecure communication channels. Unlike UNIX implementation of SCP our component does not ask password interactively.
