- Hello, my name is Russell Agin I am the owner and lead carpenter of Creative Carpentry, Inc. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn more about my company. My staff and I are very experienced wood workers, knowledgeable in all aspects of building and are very capable of assisting you in the design and construction of your project. We specialize in historical restoration, finish carpentry, interior staircases and custom woodworking. We have a large shop in Missoula, Montana; however we are happy to travel to your job-site, inside or outside of Montana.

- Our shop is equipped with modern machinery and old world style hand tools. We have a large wood lathe that can accommodate columns as big as 2 feet in diameter and 10 feet long and we have a custom built steamer that we use in bending and shaping wood. We do not have any computerized or automated equipment in our shop. We believe that true woodworking / artwork can not be attained by using a computer but only by the hands of a skilled craftsman.

- Creative Carpentry, Inc. does their best to attain their lumber from a sustainable forest. At the customers request the majority of the time we can tell them where the lumber was harvested. We also make an effort to recycle unused wood and wood chips to local farms for use with their livestock. When finishing the wood, we use low VOC (volatile organic compound) finishes whenever possible.
